Wink Game Finished... now what?? Any Expansion soon??

Besides havin completed the game missions/quests... only thing I can possibly do is to acquire any Elite Skillz, get farther at UnderWorld and Fissure of Woe and help my fellow guild members.... oh and PvP ain't really my bag...

Sounds all fun and good?

It was for a week, but now this gets boring... anyone knows when new game content will get added or if an expansion will be released?

Throw a bone here!!! Need the info!

E3 2005 Report
http://www.gwonline.net/page.php?p=142
Quote:
- the game has topped the charts across Europe and in the US, with similar success seen in the Korean beta with over 500,000 accounts created.

- Content creation continues, with plans to utilize the live streaming technology to add updates to GW throughout the Summer. Planned additions include everything from items, to monsters, to new areas and more.

- Full features are in the works too. One example is the Observer mode technology slated for a Summer release, allowing users to watch matches between teams in HoH, GvG, etc.

- The two new explorable areas, Sorrow's Furance and Grenth's Footprint, are scheduled to be released in approximately 2-3 weeks, marking what will be the largest live update to Guild Wars yet.

- The second "chapter" of Guild Wars is already underway, with a very loose estimated release of the first half of 2006. According to Jeff Strain, it's very likely that players will be offered a preview of chapter prior to its release.

- On the competitive front there's some serious developments. Within the next two- three weeks there should be a full release of details on an upcoming global tournament that is scheduled to kick off during the Summer. From the sound of it, plans are for the tournament to run through to some point in Fall, but full details are forthcoming.

Guild Wars

The game is already out, and the team proclaimed it a hit as they sold 250,000 copies in the first week on shelves. It is the #1 selling game in North America and will continue to grow. Despite the fact that there is no monthly fee, this does not mean you will not see post-launch support and free content. Sorrow???s Furnace will be the first free update ??? which they call a chapter - that introduced a huge epic dungeon and new areas to the game. It will be a streaming (download as you need it) update, and completely free.

The original plan for Guild Wars was to fund the game through retail expansions every six months. This plan remains the same, with the exception of the first pack. It is due in Q1 2006, and very little is known about it. They did however say that their goal is to make expansions like a new series of cards in games like Magic the Gathering. They can be a lot of fun and provide many new options, but you by no means need them to compete.

This summer will be dominated by the summer tournament season. Details are yet to come, but players can enter PvP tournaments, that will eventually whittle it down to a final group. The finalists will get trips to exotic locations and the winners will also receive cash prizes. With the planned addition of an observer mode, this tournament promises to be a lot of fun for fans of the game and fast paced action as well as those who are actually lucky enough to make it deep.

There is no info your days of PvE are over now you just play to get insanely large amounts of EXP to finish off your skills.

Sorry didn't take time to read a block of text copied and pasted instead of a more short concise answer from someone who can organize their thoughts.

Wow, for the most part everyone on this site has posted friendly, helpful messages. I came to read this thread and every other person posting something here comes across as a jerk? What's up with that? Seriously, somebody posts pertinent information, and then some other yahoo completely fails to read it, and somehow that's the posters fault? Come on guys. Post something useful or don't post at all.

wth... ninna is just posting what he/she know, and direct word from some site... what is with all the picking and poking crap? Don't see the tree for the forest.

on topic: Well, there are still plenty of things to do if you really want to say... but it really depends on you. Have you give pvp a chance? at least play around in the random arena =/ Even my sister who hated competetive gaming find the pvp to be fun.

I not only found wither i kicked the crap outta him 2 days ago. Spawns up on the northeast tip near where the ranger boss who uses quickshot spawns maxine coldstone. Also the mesmer boss spawns there too. Just take the fleshies perimeter trail all the way to the top right. You'll get it soon enough.

lol i agree ... they are called 'live updates' lol Sorrows Furnace and Grenths is due along your schedule lol. The actual expansion isnt. But these streaming updates 'are' small expansions. ... If the two are released before the 28th they beat the 2 month mark. (they will be out within 14 days)
